Ladies’ Night

by Mary Kay Andrews

I’m impressed with myself, two books completed in the first week of the year on my book-reading goals…I can tell you, there may be some cheating involved as I started them before the first of the year, but who’s counting? I am a huge Mary Kay Andrews fan anyway, and so I knew that I would probably fall in love with this book. My mother-in-law was a huge reader and when she passed away, one of the things I inherited from her was her vast library, this book included. What are the ways you acquire new books? I love getting book suggestions from people and hand me downs!

This is a great light read book. It’s set in Florida, with the main character, Grace. Grace is a blogger about interior design and today’s latest design fashion. She finds out her husband is cheating on her with her assistant and blows up, but gets in trouble. She loses everything in the process that her soon-to-be ex-husband files for divorce. Grace is mandated to a divorce recovery group. When she attends, she meets some other women and one man in similar predicaments. They discover an illegal scheme going on and try to shed light on it. Grace falls in love and has a happily ever after.

Andrews is a great beach reading author, a light reading author, one with twists and turns always that keep you wanting more. If you like Kristin Hannah, Jodi Picoult, Nora Roberts, Jennifer Weiner and authors like that, you will love this book and any others that Mary Kay Andrews authors!
