The way I got to this book was kind of backwards. My husband’s aunt gave me the third book in this series, which I started to read and then realized that it was a series. I decided to go back and start it altogether.

This is the first book in the Peachtree Bluff series. The story surrounds around the the family of Ansley who has three grown daughters, Caroline, Sloane and Emerson. Each one have their own lives in different places in the country, but one summer they all meet up in Peachtree Bluff, Georgia. They all have their own crosses to bear, Caroline being pregnant and facing possible divorce, Sloane and her deployed husband, and Emerson who is lonely but has a new acting role in Atlanta. We also learn of some struggles that Ansley has of her own. Losing her husband in 9/11 with three small children at the time, and now re-establishing herself in Peachtree Bluff and seeing the first love of her life, Jack. We follow the women as they have this summer together. What it boils down to is the Starlite sisters together again and relying on one another.
I can’t wait to read the next one in this series and share it with you all. Have you ever picked up a book that was in the middle of the series unbeknownst to you? Do you continue with that book or do you decide to start the series fresh? It can be such a tough decision. I was going to just read the other book, but as previously noted, I’m a sucker for the timeline of a story and reading a series through and through. I’ll keep you posted on this one, for sure!
