Which do you prefer? An eBook or a physical book? Before having my son, I was mostly anti-eBook because there’s nothing better than the smell and feel of a physical book. Now, I won’t go into the argument of whether hardback or paperback is better because hands down paperback for me. Hardback can be so difficult to travel with and just is harder to maneuver, no pun intended.
I always keep a book with me, no matter what. And I’ve always been this way. I would have a book in my car or purse, one at home, etc. Now, it looks a little different because life changes but I still keep a book with me at all times, it’s just on my phone. I always have my phone on me, so it’s easy access. Here’s another debate we could talk for days about: what’s the best eBook reader to use. I have books everywhere. Physically and on my phone. Books on Apple Books. Books on Kindle Books. Books on Overdrive through the library. The list and possibilities go on and on….
So hands down, my first preference is definitely a physical paperback book. But I always, ALWAYS have an eBook at the ready to read wherever and whenever. It’s just more convenient so I don’t have to have the heaviest purse in the world. You also only need one hand for an eBook and all you mama’s probably understand what I’m talking about. This journey really took off while I was breastfeeding. I only had one hand so could only hold and swipe with one hand.
It’s really a toss up, readers, since we have use for all of it. What I will say is, to throw another wrench in the tool box is audiobooks. I struggle with those but what do you choose? What’s your first line of choice? What’s your preference? Why?
