We read The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo for the podcast and I’m still thinking about her. Talk about a character who impacts the lives of the readers. I would like to know if Taylor Jenkins Reid intended for Ms. Hugo to be such an impacting character.

Although she often had some situations that I didn’t agree with, I also could empathize with her and the times through which she was living. I can’t even imagine being a lesbian in the 60s through 90s and having to hide especially away from the limelight. No wonder she had to be a strong-willed woman who bullied her way through Hollywood.

What are some of your favorite wrong characters that even despite not agreeing with all of their decisions, you still respected how they had to get where there through their strong-willed ways? Which characters stand out to you? Which female characters have the most impact on the literary world and your own world? I think I will think about Evelyn Hugo for sometime.
