Here’s another book from NetGalley.com that I’ve had the pleasure to read before it publishes. I’ve never heard of this series before, but I’m intrigued. I was sucked in pretty quickly by this one. It was a great read and I would really love to go back to book one and see how the series gets to where it is in this one. I was a little concerned I’d be lost in the midst of the book in this series, but Regan does a great job of catching you up on the details, like marriages, character development concerns and other relationships.

Josie Quinn is a homicide detective and she’s married to Noah Fraley. A young woman is found dead at the prom and they investigate this death where they learn that there are others, including the Chief’s younger sister who was murdered 25 years prior. The detectives search high and low and find all the connections they can when they discover its related to another case, the Butcher case. The Chief also learns that he has another sister who he’s been abused and traumatized. The ending is thrilling and keeps you wanting more of the story.

This one gets five stars from me and I can’t wait to read more from Lisa Regan! You need to get started on this series before this one is published; it will be out April 12, 2022. Preorder where you can!
