Well, I read the next one in this series and it did not disappoint. Once again, we are following Peter Decker catching cases for Greenbury PD. This time they find a body and have to figure out how it got there since the person wasn’t killed at that location. Decker enlists the help of a neighboring police department’s chief’s daughter who is also a detective, Lennie Baccus. The body was found close the boundary of the two towns, so both police departments have to be involved.

Decker figures out that there may be a connection to an old case, like 20 years ago old where the chief got his break as a detective. This causes all kinds of tensions between the two police department and Decker has to navigate these lightly. Lennie gets taken off of the case and makes some choices that are not safe. They solve the homicide and then some other cases too through a series of dramatic twists and turns.

Kellerman never disappoints in her novels. I know the plot line seems repetitive, and yet I keep wanting more of the dynamic between Decker and Rina and Decker and Tyler. Check out this series for your own pleasure, for a good cop mystery; I promise you, it won’t disappoint!! Five stars here!
