Well, I told you all that I needed a palate cleanser, and I got one, thanks to Kay’s suggestion. I read this in less than three days!! It was an attention-grabber and kept me wanting more; thank God its a series!

Joanna is a hiking guide, and she has had to fight for her position as a woman in the field of mostly men. She doesn’t want to be thought of as less than just because she’s a woman. This not only affects her in her professional world, but also her personal. Lincoln is a veteran recently returned from deployment where he was injured. He had been receiving letters from a “Joanna.”

Joanna is best friend’s with Lincoln’s brother, Finn. Finn has a secret that he needs tell his brother, and Lincoln is hot for Joanna. Their own difficulties keep them from being able to be happy. Joanna is very attracted to Lincoln, and he definitely is into her, but is worried that Finn and Joanna are an item. Joanna and Lincoln give in to their desires and fall in love.

You have to read the rest to know how it ends. It can be a bit graphic, which doesn’t bother me, but if you tend to be turned away from the more graphic, detailed romances, this one might not be for you. It’s not nasty graphic, just not too much to left to the imagination.
