This was the perfect read for what I needed right now in my life. Sorry I’ve missed several weeks folks. Thayer rights a perfect Girl’s Night novel about five women who become connected to create the Hot Flash Club. They are all middle-aged and struggling with something in their life, so they concoct a plan so that each person inserts themselves in a way to find out what’s really going on.

The novel is also set in the greater Boston area, which is where I am from originally, so it was cool to see this area as a backdrop to all the gossipy craziness the club creates and endures.

This is a light read with romance entwined with girl gossip and mystery. It definitely keeps you guessing on what is going to happen in each of the situations, who will land with who and who will win or lose in their situation. If you want a light read that is reminiscent of a girl’s night out that happens once every two weeks with some mystery tied in, this one is for you. What I didn’t realize is that it is a series. There are four books in the series! Again, if series are your guilty pleasure, here’s another to add to your TBR pile! Five stars from me.
