by Kate Jacobs

This was a cute novel about a group of women friends from all walks of life in New York City. Georgia Walker is the owner of a yarn shop who hosts the Friday Night Knitting Club with Anita, Lucie, Darwin and K.C. Georgia’s daughter Dakota bakes for the group of ladies.
Not only does the group learn new stitches and work on knitting projects together, but they build a bond together that is like no other. They care for one another and take care of one another. Georgia’s childhood friend, Cat, also becomes part of the gang.
Tragedy strikes the group when Georgia gets sick and they band together to take care of her, her shop and Dakota. Not only is this a book of female bonds and friendship, but love stories intertwine throughout the book as well. Anita falls in love with an old friend and Georgia reunites with Dakota’s dad and reignites their love for one another.
If you like these feel good books of female camaraderie, this one is for you. I gave it five out of five stars for how endearing it was. Jacobs also as a great way of organizing and tying in knitting as a metaphor for the relationships in our lives. And for all you series lovers, this is the first in a trilogy of books.
