A Cold Day for Murder (Kate Shugak #1)

by Dana Stabenow

I had this book on my Kindle for quite some time and decided to read it. I have to say that I was a bit disappointed by it. Kate is investigating a missing park ranger and then another investigator who went after him. She has to go back to her hometown and face some of her family and others in the small town to find out what happened to these two men.

I found the book hard to follow at times because Stabenow inserted characters and situations randomly and unexpectedly. It was an easy read but hard to follow. The plot was a little loose as well.

This is one series I probably won’t explore more after this one. It fell flat for me, a three-star review.

Have you ever read something, had high hopes for it, and then disappointed by it? Luckily, I was able to get through this one; I really try to commit myself to finish since I feel guilty when I don’t finish. I don’t know if I’m the only one who felt this way, but try your hand at it if you’re curious!
