Let’s talk about…Bookmarks

When you read a physical book, and you have to stop at a page (before completing, I know, what a sin!), what do you use as a bookmark? One with a tassel? Magnetic ones? Fancy metal bookmarks that look like hooks? Other fancy stringed ones? Or anything you can find – post it’s, scrap paper, paper clips, etc?

I know, I know, most of you are probably moving on to Kindles and other eReaders that have electronic bookmarks, but some of us still relish in the sweet smell of newly printed books and need some sort of page holding mechanism.

I use magnetic bookmarks now because the other ones always fell out. At work, I use a post it because again, it won’t fall out. I also use Goodreads as a page holder because I like to always have plan b’s in my life.

I would like to have a fun way to store or display all my bookmarks because of course I have quite the collection but I could never find any good ideas besides putting them in a cup and setting them on a desk. Do you have any fun and creative ways to display the plethora of bookmarks? They are essential to a book lovers repertoire!

Tell me more about your favorite bookmarks and why!
