I get the hype now. I had it in my mind that I wanted to read this before or around Christmas and I did it! I can’t wait to read more. Usually, I’m not a fantasy reader and can get a little deterred from the genre, but Maas does a great job of not making it too complicated of a world.

Feyre is a human who finds herself in a whole new world. She leaves her famiyl behind in an escape from some not so great people in her life. She enters the new world and has to fight for her life from the moment she enters. She also meets some pretty great people too who really embrace her.

Maas develops the relationship between Feyre and High Lord fae Tamlin very well, with the ups and downs and questions of trust and life and death. This book keeps you reading. Don’t let the number of pages deter you from reading it because it will suck you in and then you won’t get out until the end!
