So Kay made me a book tree for Christmas comprised of one book for every month. This one was January’s. Its been on my list for a little bit of time and it did not disappoint. It was full of twists and turns that kept me wondering what was happening.
We first meet Shelby who goes out for a run, really to meet her lover, and is suddenly missing. Then, we meet a little girl who has been captured by an abusive couple who keeps her in the basement, but escapes one day. After that, we meet Meredith, Josh, Bea and Kate. Meredith ends up dead and her and Josh’s daughter Delilah is missing. Bea and Kate are their neighbors.
Through time lapses back and forth we learn everyone’s fate by the end of the book, but not without inevitably making the wrong guesses on what happened to everyone! I highly recommend this read, especially if you are a psychological thriller junky like we tend to be.
By the way, sorry if I’ve been a little MIA lately. Instead of fun books, I’m knee deep in textbooks as I started school again! I’m trying to keep up, so here goes!
