Well everyone, this one came out July 22, 2024, and it was okay. I’ve never read anything by Carol Mason before and I wasn’t hugely impressed. I got through it and there were parts that definitely had me hooked, but not the best romance I’ve read. I give it a 4-star review because while it was tough for me to get through at times, it was a decent read.

We meet Moira Fitzgerald who is on holiday in the US with her daughter Harriett. Moira has found out that her husband might have been cheating on her and then her daughter meets a boy that she falls madly in love with. Moira meets Aiden’s (Harriet’s boyfriend) father and their relationship is…unique. One of the things I disliked is how negative the whole relationship scene was in this book; however, I enjoyed some of the banter between the characters.

It felt a bit angsty to be an adult fiction novel, which isn’t always bad, but it didn’t work the best. Mason’s descriptions of setting and characters was very good, however.

You may want to try it out for yourself because I’m feeling like a harsh critic on this one. Let me know what your thoughts are!
