This is a compilation of three short stories, Detective Cross: An Alex Cross Story, The Medical Examiner: A Women’s Murder Club Story, and Manhunt: A Michael Bennett Story. I have lived Alex Cross and A Women’s Murder Club books for a long time and so they were easy reads that I blew through. I have not read any of the Michael Bennett series but this short novel was still interesting.

If you follow these series at all, you will find this compilation a good insight into each of the characters. While the stories are short, Patterson does not disappoint in keeping us wanting more. This is definitely a five-star read and totally recommended. They are not necessary for the series but just an additional/bonus read.
