I LOVE this author. She’s one of my favorites. She takes a social justice d issue, researches the heck out of it a d creates a fiction masterpiece. I haven’t read one of hers in a while but this has been sitting in my shelf for quite some time.

Nina Frost is an assistant district attorney who prosecutes a lot of child sexual abuse cases. She finds out her son has been sexually abused after he becomes mute all of a sudden. She takes matters into her own hands and finds herself on the other side of the courtroom.

It’s heart wrenching and in true Picoult style, makes you question your own moral compass on these hot button topics. You will not be disappointed but you should be aware of the subject matter if you need a sort of trigger warning.

This was definitely a five-star read for me!
