I’ve had this book on my shelf for years and decided I was going to go for it. What a sweet book. It had a lot of details and describes so much over a long period of time. The intertwining of a mother and daughter’s love story mixed with trauma and discouragement.

Sidda and her mother Vivi have a tough relationship. Through the help of a secret scrapbook and her best friends, the Ya-Yas, they are able to repair their love for each other and renew their relationship. Sidda goes through a midlife crisis and wanting to see love when she needed to love herself through the forgiveness of her mother.

I gave it four stars because it had an extraordinary amount of detail that was necessary but at times hard to trudge through. Definitely recommend it and I can’t wait to watch the movie!
