This was a very interesting read. I have read this author before and like her style. This one was a little hard to follow with what happened in the past as the style is time lapsing, from past to present.

Cassidy is the main character who is I voted on a trip to meet some of her high school friends. We learn pretty quickly that this is not your typical high school friend group meet up but that they all endured something tragic and traumatic in their childhood.

When they all arrive at the house they always meet up at after the death of one of their former classmates, they discover some strange happenings. We learn about the tragedy that pulled the most unsuspecting together to create a bond and pact so uniting that it becomes dangerous.

I gave this book a four star because of some of the challenges in following the past story as some of the details were confusing. This may have been purposeful confusion to get the reader to immerse themselves into the confusion of a high schooler experiencing such a tragic situation.
