This was a great recommend from a friend. I’d never read this one before or anything by Binchy. I really enjoyed the style of writing and the plot. The way the book was told from various characters was done so well and Binchy connects their stories well also.

Set in Ireland, we meet Chicky Starr who becomes the owner of a hotel. The story is told from several perspectives, Bucky herself, a worker, and several guests. Each one with their stories about how they got to the hotel as well as their experience at the hotel

The story is told over much time as well as the single week that the guests are at the hotel. It is also the first opening week of the hotel. Hearing about each person’s story and how they got there was a truly great experience. I will definitely be reading more of Binchy’s work!

Five stars from me. You should also read this one! Cute for the winter of course!
