How do you keep track of what you read?

How many times have you bought the same book over and over only to realize, I’ve read this before? For me, too many to count to the point that I needed to find a way to track. So I first had a notebook where I would list all the books. Then, the digital age arrived and I found Goodreads. It has been a life saver (and money saver) for me! You can create shelves: want-to-read, read, currently reading etc. You can find new books to read, follow authors, see what your friends are reading and enter giveaways for books. They have different groups. The benefits are never ending. I also use it as a digital bookmark as well. You can connect your Amazon account to it as well. I just have all good things to say.

Here are some of the other apps and websites to track your reading that I found but maybe haven’t tried myself:

  • Libib (it coats $9/month)
  • The StoryGraph
  • LibraryThing
  • Shelfari
  • Booksr
  • aNobii
  • Book Likes
  • Revish
  • Book Browse
  • Bookly

The other option that I do on the side that has sort of inspired my blog is having a reading journal. I have really enjoyed doing this. I got a notebook, printed out the pictures of the covers, would document the date I started, date I finished, a synopsis, a review and any quotes that stick out to me. How do you keep track of your books?
