This was my March book from Kay that she gave me as part of my book-a-month Christmas tree. I finally got to it two months later and it didn’t disappoint, that’s for sure!
We meet Alice who is a teenager and its Halloween. She really loves horror movies, I mean loves them. She knows all the intricacies of the most well-known and the struggles with the lesser known.
Her sister invites her to a Halloween party and she doesn’t want to go but goes because she idolizes her sister Claire. Claire ends up dead at the end of the party and Alice is the only witness, so she has to testify against the alleged killer.
Alice gets knocked in the head, and her reality completely changes. I’m going to leave it at that and let you read the rest so you can be totally bamboozled by the whole “falling action” part of this great novel.
Now, if you’re totally put off by YA, don’t read it. If you’re totally not into Halloween-ish stuff, don’t read it. But if you’re willing to take a chance on this one, TAKE IT! Five stars from me!
